Certified Tutor

I started as a tutor in 1994 in Virginia. I enjoyed the work so much I moved to Thailand and taught English in Songkhla, a small town near the Malaysian border. That experience led me to many more international jobs. I've lived and worked overseas for over 10 years in Thailand, Hong Kong and London.

At each stop along the way I've been privileged to be known as a reliable resource for those needing assistance with their English. Native speakers and ESL students alike.

My approach is simple: I move at your pace until I'm confient you understand the material. Then a gentle push to the next level is applied. Using previous sessions as a foundation I focus on the fundamentals. I eschew tricks and gimmicks for getting to the right answer. You will know the answer, not arrive there via educated guessing.

I am a seasoned financial services professional, and bring that professionalism and attention to detail to all my endeavors. We will apply ourselves and take full advantage or our time together. I am also a volunteer firefighter, and that spirit of service and helping others animates my tutoring style, too.
