Certified Tutor

I have been living in the Bay Area for about 6 months after graduating from Tufts University in Boston last May. At Tufts I pursued a degree in Biochemistry and Art History, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I will be pursuing a medical degree in the near future. During my time at Tufts, I spent three years teaching science to students of many ages as part of multiple outreach programs. My teaching experience covered topics from elementary chemistry demonstration to genetic research with high schoolers. While I enjoy tutoring a number of subjects, I am especially fond of science and math. My goal as a tutor is often to not only teach a subject, but get a student involved with a subject - that is, excited about it. I find students can make the biggest improvements when they feel personally engaged in the subject. Outside of academics I like bikes, coffee, and Kurt Vonnegut.
