Hello!

My name is Jade and I have just completed my degree in Primary Education, achieving a first class honours, and I am now a Primary School Teacher.

I am looking to tutor Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children in the following subjects: maths, English and geography. I have a strong interest in the world around us, which is why I chose to write my dissertation on the outdoor benefits geography has to children and teachers.

My approach is very positive and I encourage all of my students to at least try even if they do get things wrong, as this is how students problem solve and ultimately learn. I support students through this by asking lots of questions to help guide them through until they reach the correct answers, enabling the students to recall the approach they have taken to support with securing their new knowledge.

I enjoy supporting children to overcome learning barriers and see education and learning as fun and not just a necessity. My experience has proven that children progress further and enjoy their education more when they have established a learning style which suits them.
