If you have been seeking thorough and qualified Minneapolis GMAT preparation, 51Թ can help. Students and business professionals who are applying to MBA programs are likely preparing for the Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT. The score you earn on this test is one of the determining factors for college admissions boards. How well you perform on the test helps schools determine how well you will do in the classroom, so it is in your best interest to be well prepared.
There are four main sections of the exam, and it is possible that the test will be one of the most challenging steps on your way to business schools like the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. If you are a working professional or a student who is seeking extra help as you study, a Minneapolis GMAT prep course may be of great benefit to you.
What kinds of things does Minneapolis GMAT prep cover?
The exam's sections are Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing Assessment. You will have a total of three and a half hours to finish the test, not including optional breaks. There are various questions that will test many of your skills. Now we will examine the test by section so you can see the concepts that you will need to know for test day. Although there are a few different formats of the exam, let's start with the Quantitative Reasoning section.
The Quantitative Reasoning section will measure your skills in mathematical reasoning, graphic data interpretation, and quantitative problem-solving. There are two types of questions in this portion, including problem-solving and data sufficiency. How you answer these questions will show business schools how well you use logic and analytical reasoning to solve problems as well as your ability to evaluate data. The Quantitative Reasoning section must be completed in 62 minutes and consists of 31 questions that are multiple-choice.
The Verbal Reasoning section measures your ability to interpret, infer, and understand ideas from a given passage. This section also tests your skills in formulating and evaluating arguments. You will come across two kinds of questions in this part of the exam: critical reasoning and reading comprehension. You will have 65 minutes to answer all 36 multiple-choice questions.
The Integrated Reasoning part of the test will measure your skill set in comparing data and organization, evaluating sources for relevant information, integrating information from many sources to problem-solve, and synthesizing provided information. There are four kinds of questions you will find in this section, including table analysis, two-part analysis, multi-source reasoning, and graphics interpretation. For this section, you will only have half an hour to answer a dozen questions, and a lot of these questions will require more than one response. Business schools will use your score on this section to determine how well you can solve difficult problems using data that is provided. You will also be able to show your ability to make informed decisions based on the information that is provided to you.
The Analytical Writing Assessment will gauge your skills in critical thinking and communicating in English. You will be faced with an argument, and you will need to review the reasoning behind it. You will need to have sharp skills in organization and development of ideas, evaluating arguments, and planning out responses. Also, you will need to be able to isolate reasons and examples that adequately support your answers. This section also only allows for half of an hour to critique and analyze the argument, so you will need to be quick.
What are some benefits of the different types of Minneapolis GMAT preparation?
51Թ offers a couple of different GMAT prep options, including preparation courses and tutoring. Both options provide students with many benefits, and a lot of people choose to use both to boost their study skills. Now we will look at Minneapolis GMAT prep classes and tutoring more closely.
A GMAT class offers interactive online instruction that is set up just like a traditional in-person class. New classes are starting weekly, and you have the choice to take a two-week or a four-week course plan. A Minneapolis GMAT prep class is also convenient because you can take your tablet, computer, or phone wherever you have a steady internet connection.
When you are all ready to start, you will log in and attend sessions with other students and a skilled teacher. There will be group work and discussions that could help you grow your GMAT skills. The learning environment is conducive to helping you retain new information as well. Minneapolis GMAT prep also gives you the chance to work privately with the teacher, should you need it.
For a more personal setting, we can connect you with a Minneapolis GMAT prep tutor instead or in addition to classes. Private instruction is a great way to get customized lesson plans that are generally not available in most traditional classrooms. Additionally, you and your instructor can work together using the Live Learning Platform for further convenience. If you would like, you can also work with your mentor in-person at the location you are most comfortable in. If you choose GMAT tutoring, they will get to know you and your needs, goals, and learning opportunities. Once they do get to know all of these things, they can create a plan that works for you. For instance, if you are already strong in writing, you can move on and use that time to work on your Integrated Reasoning skills. No matter which topic you need help with, a GMAT tutor can help you.
