If you are aiming for a good score on your GRE, enrolling in a quality and professional Oklahoma City GRE course from 51Թ can be a great first step towards that goal. In the course, you can study for the test with a qualified instructor and get specialized attention that is not generally available in other environments. This means you can have a more thorough review that can help you make sense of what you don't understand much faster than figuring it out on your own.
The Graduate Record Examinations, or GRE, is an important requirement for people who want to pursue graduate studies in many colleges and universities, like Oklahoma City University and Oklahoma Christian University. Your GRE score has a direct impact on your graduate school application since admissions officers use it together with other important documents such as your school grades and recommendation letters when making a decision about your application.
On the test, you need to answer questions that measure your skills in basic algebra, arithmetic, geometry, and college-level English. Your abilities in analyzing and evaluating written materials and applying critical thinking in solving problems will also be measured. In order to cover what you need to know for the test, it is best to start early in your Oklahoma City GRE class.
What could an Oklahoma City GRE course help me review?
Part of reaching for your target GRE score is getting familiar with the content and layout of the exam. Your GRE review course can help you do that as it discusses the different sections of the test. Let's take a detailed look at these three sections.
1. Analytical Writing
In this section, there are two tasks: analyze an issue and analyze an argument. You have 30 minutes to answer each task and scoring will range from 0 to 6. To analyze an issue, you need to read a general interest topic. This topic can be discussed from different perspectives and applied to different conditions and situations. You need to present a compelling case for your position about the issue while considering the instructions given to you on the questionnaire. Your ability to articulate your views clearly and with sound reasoning and supporting examples are key to doing well in this task.
To analyze an argument, you need to evaluate an argument according to the specific instructions provided on the test. You will read passages where the author presents an argument supported by reason and evidence. You then need to examine the logical soundness of those arguments by checking the line of reasoning of the author and the evidence presented. Your ability to demonstrate critical thinking and apply perceptive reading and analytical writing skills are key to performing well in this task.
2. Verbal Reasoning
For this section, you will answer a total of 40 items that will come in three question types: reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence. You have 60 minutes to complete this section and your score will be between 130 and 170.
In reading comprehension, you will need to use your strategic reading skills as you answer questions based on passages. You will be asked to find details within the passages and draw conclusions based on that information. Your paraphrasing skills will also be tested since you are required to comprehend the main ideas and sentence structure in this test.
In text completion, you will need to use your vocabulary and ability to read context clues in sentences as you answer fill-in-the-blank questions. There can be just a single blank or as many as three blanks in one sentence, but you need to correctly answer all the blanks in order to get a point.
In the sentence equivalence section, you will also need to answer fill-in-the-blank questions. The difference is there is only one blank in the sentence and you need to choose two answer choices that can complete that single blank. Your answers should also be able to produce sentences that have the same meaning as the sentence in the question. Again, your vocabulary and skills in determining context clues will be tested in this part of the test.
3. Quantitative Reasoning
This section has 40 questions that test your basic math skills, including your understanding of basic mathematical concepts and ability to use quantitative methods in problem-solving. The three question types are quantitative comparison, multiple-choice questions, and numeric entry. You have 1 hour and 10 minutes in total to complete this part of the test.
In quantitative comparison, you need to compare two quantities and answer questions pertaining to their values such as "Quantity A is greater," "Quantity B is greater," "The two quantities are equal," and "The relationship cannot be determined from the information given."
In the multiple-choice questions, you may encounter questions where there is more than one correct answer from a list of choices. Questions for this part may or may not specifically state the number of correct answers.
In numeric entry, questions will require you to enter your answers as an integer, fraction, or decimal. There are questions that may ask you to round off your answer to the required degree of accuracy, so it is important to pay attention to what the question asks you to do.

I love teaching people and helping others understand and achieve a confidence in themselves. Most people sell themselves short and when motivated can achieve great things.... Provide the right tools, and enough confidence, and anyone can succeed.... First, become acquainted with the student's likes and dislikes. Second, find a direction the student is comfortable in going and then follow the student, providing any necessary support.... Implementing thought patterns that will help students think outside the box and become better problem solvers. Also, I believe boosting confidence is a key factor.

...exactly alike and that every mind deserves an equal chance to reach its fullest potential. I am also confident that no one branch of study is set apart. Instruction is most effective when it appeals to a student's particular passions and interests in order to stimulate curiosity and engagement in a course of study. A student's strengths should be celebrated, but they should also be utilized to facilitate growth in other areas.... I find that with History and English (especially as it relates to composition) a holistic approach is most beneficial. Not only does the process help a student's comprehension of a particular subject, but it also stimulates the mind to think about the interconnectivity of all studies. I enjoy seeing students make connections across different fields of interest.

I believe in the power of education.... Believe in yourself. You have the power to do great things. If you work hard and try your best, you can achieve anything you want. I can help guide you, but you have to put in the work.... Ask them questions to understand what they know, what they need help with, and what will be the best way to approach the tutoring sessions... By teaching them good study skills, test taking skills, time management, and organization. Also, by helping them to realize their potential and help them feel empowered.
