I am a graduate of Texas A&M-Kingsville and The University of Texas at San Antonio. I hold a PK-6th grade certification, am a Reading Specialist, and recently graduated with my principalship.
I have taught throughout the elementary spectrum but am currently a third grade teacher. Most of my teaching experience is with the state assessment grade levels of 3rd-5th.
I have high expectations for each child and the understanding that each child learns in their own time at their own ability. In order for each of my students to reach their potential, it is up to us to have a good relationship to better understand how the child learns best. This will enable me to
present skills in the best way so the child will be able to grasp difficult to understand concepts. Children should also be responsible for their learning
and be prepared each day.
I am structured, organized, and teach explicitly to the skill that is to be learned that day.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, kayaking, hiking, running and salt water fishing and most importantly hanging out with my King Charles Cavalier
Spaniel, LuLu.
