Certified Tutor

Ever since I was born, I have been a girl of many things: two nationalities, three languages, four cultures... My parents have always encouraged me to speak the three languages of my world: Arabic, French, and English. Our move from Montreal to Houston, Texas, one of the most diverse cities in the United States, has allowed me to continue growing in a multi-cultural environment. I have been immersed in the French culture while attending the French Section of the Awty International School, while remaining at the side of other various cultures. I have never felt like I was part of one world but, rather, of many. I learned to keep an open mind, to think objectively and compassionately, and above all not to judge based on race or religion.
On the skill side, I am often called a polymath. My passion for the arts, culture, literature shone through my years as a student in high school and university. As a visual artist, I improved my drawing techniques beyond my art classes at school through books, YouTube videos, and technical analysis of various works. While I am fluent in two languages, and love to read and discuss politics, art and technology have always been the domains where I know I could succeed, where I could truly push myself.
In being a tutor, I hope to learn more, build relationships, and help students overcome their academic struggles. I believe that learning is not simply through conventional methods like memorization or staring at a textbook, but rather through understanding from real-world perspectives, and having fun! Passion is the essence of rapid understanding, and I hope to help my students become passionate learners so that they may succeed.
