Certified Tutor

I am a third-year at Brown University studying geochemistry. I am interested in research and plan to enter a graduate school program. I am particularly passionate about teaching because I have had many mentors help me along in my journey and I hope help others in the same way. Since starting to teach in my freshman year of high school, I have worked at Kumon as an instructor, developed curricula for summer classes at an elementary school, and served as a teaching assistant in several college courses. I love tutoring math and chemistry, but I also enjoy teaching English and reading comprehension. When teaching, I try to tailor lessons to students' interests; I hope to make material both engaging and useful. I believe that lessons that are guided by students are the most efficient and effective. In my free time, I love spending time with my cat Luke, experimenting with origami, and going on runs with my family.
