What is your teaching philosophy?
Teaching is my passion. I've always been told I was a born "teacher", but I think I was a born "learner". I love to take in information and teach myself the best way to process it, and I want to learn the BEST way I can teach you! I take in advice, and research methodical teaching. Let's create a way that you and I can both learn as we push towards success.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Let's get to know each other! What are your interests? Do you enjoy your subject? Why are you having difficulty? What can I do to help you? Let's talk about the best plan we can make to help you succeed!
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Resources! Once you have your fingertips touching all kinds of resources, self-teaching is the next step. I will help you find the best places to seek rich, interesting information that will help you learn.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Through real-life examples! I am always in awe by the things scholarly people achieve. We may not all become the next professor who discovers a crazy new cure, but we all can be inspired by them and know that we play a part in inspiring those who change the world.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Let's tackle this STEP by STEP. Rome wasn't built in one day, and failing is not having difficulty. Failing is quitting just because you have difficulty! You've got this.
