I am currently a sophomore at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. I tutor a broad range of subjects including math and economics, but am most passionate about discussing Mandarin Chinese, Algebra, and Computer Science. I've had extensive experience with those topics in AP and college-level courses, and lived in Xi'An, China for 6 weeks on a U.S. Department of State scholarship. My tutoring philosophy is "passion comes first"; I love taking abstract concepts and inspiring students with real-world applications. Excitement is the best motivator, I've found, and I've helped students achieve great growth using this methodology. I have experience as a Coding for Girls instructor and public tutor at a local high school.

In my spare time, I enrich my life by reading, gardening, and going for long bike rides.

Within the realm of foreign languages and culture, I'm interested in the following: Mandarin Chinese, Chinese business etiquette, and international business. Outside of class, my hobbies include gardening (my tomato plants are doing especially great this year!), baking, and exploring state parks!
