I received my BA in Psychology from Oregon State University in December 2022. Before going back to school, I was an accountant for nine years, utilizing Quickbooks and Excel. I also homeschooled both my children from kindergarten through grade 12. At Lane Community College, I worked as an ambassador at the Gender Equity Center, where I assisted students with their math and English assignments, as needed. In Spring of 2021, I worked as a learning assistant for PSYCH 101, answering students' questions and leading them through review webinars before each major exam. I am most passionate about Psychology and Data Analysis. In my experience, finding a way to preent a problem to a student, that best clicks with them individually, and watching their eyes light up as they understand a concept for the first time, is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I believe in giving students many small wins, in order to help build their confidence for the big win or testing success. I achieve this through games, mini quizzes, flash cards, and lots of fun! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, yoga, playing with my dog, and knitting.
