As a versatile, educator I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students including those afflicted with ADHD/ADD, learning disabilities and behavioral challenges. From this experience, I have been able to remain sensitive to a student's unique capabilities, provide individualized support, and collaborate with families and other teachers to cultivate a supporting learning environment where everyone can learn and thrive.
I have a primary focus on middle school math and English, however I am certified to teach K-12 all subjects. I have been able to teach many students valuable math techniques that help them to thrive in the classroom and on tests. I can adapt my methods to accommodate multiple intelligences and learning styles ensuring that each student will comprehend and retain the information that suits him/her best.
One of my greatest strengths is being able to maintain a well-disciplined learning environment, with minimal disruptions and maximum productivity. This is achieved by building relationships, reinforcing positive behavior, and implementing a reward system. In addition, I develop an excellent rapport with all students to make sure they feel comfortable and safe in the classroom.
