I graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Technological Learning. Currently I am a certified teacher in Idaho and Illinois. I have been a 4th Grade and 2nd Grade teacher where my focus was on my student's success and building individual connections with each student to help me better understand how and why they learn. During my time as an educator, I have increased students reading scores in fluency and comprehension by 38% - 76%. Teaching is an artform that gives me the opportunity to facilitate student discovery, challenge their way of thinking, and foster a love of lifelong learning. While I am willing and eager to tutor a wide range of subjects (math, science, social studies) my passion lies in reading and writing! Developing, building, and maintaining the lifelong skills needed to be an effective reader and writer is critical in furthering a student's education. I am a strong believer that learning occurs when connections are made, and students have fun I am devoted to working with my students to give the them the support they need while leaving them with lasting connections that they can build upon.
