If I could get paid to take courses for the rest of my life, I'd sign up in a heartbeat! Looking for a more spirited approach to tutoring? I'm a learning-obsessed "word nerd," who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a B.A. in English Literature, another B.A. in Studio Art, and a Minor in Classics. (Latin is definitely not dead, ok?!) At Ave Maria University, I earned my M.A. in Theology. From there, I went on to teach 10th and 12th grade for 4 years. Currently, I work as a freelance copywriter, but education has always been my passion. After school, my classroom was often occupied by students seeking help with their English or Algebra homework... even though I was a Theology teacher! That's because I like to keep my strategy straightforward yet adaptable. The first thing I ask myself when planning a lesson is, "How can I make this complex concept as simple as possible?" Different types of learners have different needs. So I aim to use what works best for each individual. No matter what, I strongly believe that humor, creativity, and engaging visual storytelling can make education less stressful -- and so much more enjoyable!
