I am passionate about helping students because when I was struggling in my academics there were generous people willing to help me that made a genuine impact on my life. In light of the previous, I would like to extend the favor given to me to future generations. I have worked with students younger than me professionally and voluntarily since the 6th grade. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors in Biology and a minor in Psychology at Dallas Baptist University located in Dallas. I have experience tutoring students ranging from kindergarten to middle school. I am passionate about the subjects of Biology and English. I have a continued fascination of genetics, how the body works, and clinical research. I have always enjoyed creative writing, poetry, history, and novels. Because of this, I am most interested in teaching in these subjects. I believe that students should always be aware that they are capable of accomplishing anything that they truly set their mind too. I was once told that I should pursue a different path because I was not achieving high scores, but with the right motivation I graduated high school with honors in the subjects I was advised not to pursue. I apply the same encouragement to my students. You are smarter than you know, and stronger than you believe. All you need to do is study to the best of your ability and pursue your subjects with the knowledge that you are capable of doing so.
